How long will my organizing project take?
This depends largely on how motivated and decisive you are. It can be a physically and mentally tiring process. Typically, we can get through a smaller space like closet or pantry within a 3-hour session. Complete rooms can take multiple sessions.
Can you just organize my space for me?
Your input is vital to how your space is organized. It is about how YOU use things in your home, your habits and lifestyle. Also, I am teaching you organizing skills along the way. However, if we discuss your organizing project in depth I can carry out your plans myself.
Are your services confidential?
Absolutely! Your privacy is extremely important to me. This can be a very personal experience and you are trusting me in your home and life. I take that seriously.
Will you make me throw everything away?
Absolutely not! All final decisions are yours! I will make recommendations and ask you questions about how you use things and why you might want to keep/donate/toss items as we go along.
Do I have to buy a lot of expensive storage containers?
No! In fact, I recommend not buying anything at first. The first step is to sort and see what we actually need containers/shelving for. I love to use storage containers you already own. I will make suggestions to what I think might work best in the space we are organizing. I will be very respectful of your budget.
Are there additional costs involved?
You might want to buy additional shelving or storage containers. I will of course respect your budget and use anything you already own first. Additional fees may be incurred if you want to use my shopping services. Also, distance could be a factor to an added fee.
Are gift certificates available?
Yes, of course! Please be sure the person truly wants this gift and understands the intent.
What areas do you serve?
As an Oakland County professional organizer, I will travel to Lake Orion, Oxford, Auburn Hills, Waterford, Rochester Hills, Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, and Troy. If you live outside this area, we may travel there for an additional fee.
